These Terms govern use of Meal Pilot services operated by Meal Pilot Ltd. ("Meal Pilot", "we", "us") registered in England and Wales. By accessing the site or apps you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About Meal Pilot
Meal Pilot provides meal planning tools, recipe discovery, illustrative pricing comparisons, and related content for consumers in the United Kingdom. We may update features, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Using the Service
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your UK nation) to create an account if we offer one. You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping that degrades performance, no attempt to circumvent security, and no use of automated means that violate our robots policy when published.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@mealpilot.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Pricing Data
Pack prices, retailer comparisons, and savings figures are indicative and based on our catalogue and heuristics. They are not live checkout prices and must not be relied upon as financial, investment, or professional advice. Always confirm prices, allergens, and promotions at the retailer before you buy.
4. Intellectual Property
The Meal Pilot name, logo, UI, software, and original editorial content are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials except as allowed by law or with our written consent.
Recipe text and images may include third-party rights; your use of such materials is limited to personal cooking and must respect any stated attribution or licence.
5. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that:
(a) the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose; (b) we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive loss; (c) our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms is capped at the greater of £100 and the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (if any).
6. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protections apply.
